Episode One - The Golden Girls

The Golden Girls is a classic series, which had an excellent impact on television viewers across the globe. As such, the series can be considered as one of the most watched TV series in history.
The show itself started airing in 1977 and quickly became a television program. It was a very successful show, which has lasted for a very long time. It was nominated for eight Emmy Awards, including three wins for Outstanding Comedy Series.
However, in order to tell their own story line, the show's creator, Jack Klugman, decided to turn it into a movie. He started making a television series, but after realizing that the series would take forever to make, he ended up moving his focus over to the movie. He started making this movie from the concept that the TV series has become a hit in the hearts of TV viewers.
The DVD box set of this movie contains eleven episodes. The first two episodes were released in 1998, so it was already three years after the show's premiere. The rest of the episodes were released two years later.
The first episode that you watch will be entitled "The New Girl", which is about the two most beautiful people who used to be friends before they met Gillian Anderson and Roseanne Barr. Roseanne Barr is well known for her role in the sitcom Murphy Brown.
Her character was introduced in the TV series Married with Children, which has since become an iconic movie. Roseanne Barr plays the part of Linda, who is a hotel housekeeper for a restaurant owned by Jeff Goldblum.

The follow-up to the movie "The Immaculate Proposal" is "The Phantom of the Paradise", which shows what happen to the characters after they move out of the apartment. Gillian and Roseanne live in a desert resort and create a relationship through some magic.
The last episode of this movie is titled "Turning Japanese", and is about the relationship between the two characters, Jim Preston and Stephanie Palmer. The latter, who is played by Vicki Lawrence.
